While the essential oil of Sweet Orange is extracted from the peel and Neroli oil from the flowers, Petitgrain come to us through steam distillation from the fresh leaves and young twigs. It carries a gentle and refreshing, delightfully woody yet floral scent which combined with its antibacterial properties makes it a must in any deodorant recipe. It carries anti-depressant properties similar to Sweet Orange but its powerhouse trait is as a nerve tonic. It is known to strengthen the nervous system and is often used in support during times of stress helping to manage anxiety and fears.
